The silence that fills
every crack within me,
threatening to suffocate me
decimate me &
never elucidate.
Your voice,
now just a memory,
is over there
and not here.
Time is precious
as the blazing sun,
and your warmth,
once radiant,
is now vacant
and blanketed
in nothing.
You’re not here,
and you’re gone
just like the radio
sung in a
discordant
melancholy
that only
grief knows.
3 years without you. I miss you, Dad.
