Fed Up
Constantly wanting to crawl out of my skin
because it is too much to bear;
a persistent reminder
of how I am continuing to fail
each day.
I wake up and stretch,
wishing I could stay like that.
I stand tall and pretend
that I don't care.
I was able to do it once
and I can do it again.
Mind over matter
is all I need to remember
and everything
will be okay.
