What is love, really?
Thrill, sacrifice, patience?
Painful, sweet, imperfect.
Seeking perfection,
But we are imperfect.
Failure, hurt, deception,
Dictate its meaning,
Anger, pain, difficulty forgiving.
Blinded by pain, by anger,
I forgot the true love I once knew,
Imperfect, like others,
He alone is perfect,
Perfect love, from God.
Even the faithful, make mistakes,
Temptations, sins.
To you who hurt me, if these words you see,
Forgive me, for the anger I held, you see.
I let it linger,
Perhaps someday, our paths will meet,
Not for us, but for a higher purpose.
For the Lord's work, unity with Him.
Become friends, for Him,
Love, perfect from God,
That's humble, not filled with pride,
A love that forgives.
Forgive, be given a new heart,
Love from Him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Hi Akap, even though what you did to me wasn't good, you played a part in my turning back to God.
