We sit away from one another,
No one knows the memory I shudder,
Of who you are in anger and pain,
That feeling I never want to feel again,

The face of thee who hurt me,
My eyes filling so I cannot see,
Remembering what we once had,
Could never fix the damage that makes me sad,

For now you twist the words I said,
These awful lies run amok and spread,
I wish the best for my friend,
The one who’s time I used to spend,

For she changed who I am today,
For better or worse, who could say?
