The sea, so vast and deep
Full of life, abundance to keep
A barrier reef, a hidden gem
Beneath the waves, a colorful hem

The hues of blue, green, and gold
A masterpiece, a sight to behold
The artist's palette, so vibrant and bright
Love upon the canvas, a beautiful sight

Creatures of the deep, swimming free
Dancing in the waves, pure ecstasy
The coral reefs, a sanctuary below
Where life flourishes, a vibrant show

The sea, a place of mystery and wonder
A world of magic, a spell to be under
The waves crash upon the shore
A symphony of love, forevermore

Inspiring artists, poets, and writers alike
To capture the essence, the beauty so ripe
Love permeates the salty air
A feeling of peace, beyond compare

So let us cherish this gift from above
The sea, a symbol of endless love
May we protect and preserve its grace
For future generations to embrace.
I wrote this when stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
I have always had an affinity for the sea.
I learned to sail, to dive, to explore
I saw so many murals of sea life upon the buildings, the museums
Read the poetry of the islands, the spirit....
