The body droops, the eyelids close
And all the world seems to impose

A weight that's heavy, hard to bear
A foggy haze, a numb despair

The limbs are heavy, slow to move
The will is weak, the mood is blue

But in this state, there's also rest
A chance to pause, to do your best

To breathe deep and let go of care
To find a calm that's always there

And when you wake, refreshed and new
You'll find the world more bright and true

For tiredness is a friend in need
That helps us rest and then succeed.
