She won’t return, I know it’s true,
Yet my hands still reach for a love that withdrew.
My heart still beats, though it has no will,
For waiting does not hurt,,,waiting kills.

No footsteps, no voice, no sign,
Just empty hours that whisper she’s fine.
And if she’s fine while I decay,
Then what is left of me to save?
