When his tear drops fell
Upon the iced, slicked ground
In his shaking you could tell
His heart was pound, pound, pounding
Along with the cracking of the world below him
He needed some grounding..
Some mercy from the gods above,
Who seemed to make a mockery
Of his need, and desperate greed for a real kind of love.
He assumed he had everything a partner could want,
Honesty, suavity,
Some thousand dollar wine he could flaunt
Now you can see,
He thought he was in a good place..
Except NOW! In this god forsaken world
that has left him to waste
Lonely again, in the face of disgrace.
So fearfully, he looked down at the frozen land below
And saw his reflection in the winter light’s glow
