It's hard to die and be reborn
To leave the past behind
with all of it's scorn
It's as if your innermost being
is being broken and torn
From the place where you lived
for so very long
Believing that life could
never go so wrong
Myself, as a child,
let me hold you
while you cry
Let the visions begin
Let the memories die
You must live on, you must
Even while everything you hold
turns to dust
The tears wet your lips
and your smile begins to rust
You must push forward, you must
Even in your fear
you will once again
learn to trust
Oh dear heart don't be so blue
Look away from the old
and into the new
There is so much more
to come of You
One thing we can be certain of in this life is change.
