The animal looks into my eyes
and says I'm about to die
I say your not mine
The partygoers made a fool of me
One too many times

I did nothing wrong but I did nothing right

I took a taxi
Out to see a woman stripped
Of her clothes
Be gentle she says
I might as well have spat in her eyes

I did nothing wrong but I did nothing right

I thought there were lessons to learn in this world
How to be street smart and savvy
How to walk over dead bodies

It's taken my manhood
Now I'm looking for someone to blame
Like a fountain of pain

Will you be there? She asks
Anytime, I reply
But I've got this war to fight
Waiting for me on the other side
And no amount of running
Is gonna make me cry

I did nothing wrong but I did nothing right

No amount of running
Is gonna make me cry

I did nothing wrong but I did nothing right
