Today You Told Me You Loved Me
Today you told me you loved me
and everything fell into place.
Everything filled that was empty
with the truth that I saw in your face.
I kissed you and said I felt it too
as bliss took over my head.
Never been more together us two
as we lied there in silence in my bed.
I replayed the moment over again
as you napped at my side
and I didn’t hold back or try to pretend
to conceal the happy tears that I cried.
You didn’t hear me as you were asleep,
you didn’t even have a clue.
Today you told me you loved me,
and I’m certain that I love you too.
