Expressions
They’re loud and they’re free,
So with all of my pride,
and to the top of my voice, I will, undoubtedly,
express myself.
Though the ponds’ ripples Are as loud as the rushing sea
I express myself
Though the clouds crash and rain down on me
I express myself

Though rolling boulders block my path
And the journey I’m forced to face
Offers no “happily ever after”...

With my muscles growing weak
From starvation of prosperity
And plants that once were
Are no longer there with me
Still,
I will,
enthusiastically,
Express myself.

Because I now know,
that in order to grow,
I must dare
To express myself!
And when I look back at the shape of my landscape
I can hold my head high and proudly say
"This was all because I refuse to believe
That anything could ever stop me -
From expressing myself."
