In the hollow of my chest, a void resides
A chasm deep, where shadows hide
Heartache's heavy chains, they bind and weigh
A burden borne, night and endless day

The whispers of what's past, they echo and roam
A relentless refrain, a haunting, mournful tone
Regrets and doubts, they creep and crawl
A darkened garden, where love's flowers once stood tall

Overthinking's maze, a labyrinth to explore
A path that winds, with no escape in store
The what-ifs and maybes, they swirl and eddy
A maelstrom of emotions, in turmoil, I'm lost at sea

But then I found a lifeline, a beacon in the night
A scripture that shone bright, and guided me to new light
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord
β€œPlans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

In this promise, I found peace, a calm within the storm
A trust that God's plans are good, and His love will forever form
A light that shines, a love that heals
A heart that's restored, and a soul that's made whole and real.
