Poems
Jan 12
thar year Chicago
It snowed a lot
We had nowhere to go
Thinking about where to stay
a place to lean on
for a while
We wandered back and forth
Eventually
each one alone
each of us had to walk home
Through the night.......
The windy city so
fire was successful
but failed to keep it
Decades later, today
Into Chicago
Heavy snow is falling
It's not the fire that matters,
it's the warmth.
