Words left in the air
None of which are spoken out loud
Simply implied.
No words really need to be spoken
As everything has already been said
And now I’m just left with the silence.
Bled onto the carpet
All for you to see
And now we just walk around it.
Nobody really wants to notice it
As that would make it real.
Instead we do silly things like
Make friendship bracelets out of the fibres.
Still tainted with the blood, but hey!
It’s a symbol of our bond.
Twice a year there’s flowers to commemorate
But.. ugh they smell rather metallic.
Drowning, choking on the symbolism
But nobody hears me.
Why can’t I just run.
