As I slowed down at the intersection
I looked in my left rear-view mirror
and saw a ******* the phone
She lowered her head and then raised it
smiling brightly
I could see
she had a kind heart
(she looked like a young Joan Baez or Elisabeth Taylor
Of course, she was not as pretty as my wife.)
Then, as if she knew
I was watching
she stopped looking up and passed me
when the light turned green
and disappeared
I heard the horn honk
and made a right turn
and continued on my way.
