She dances upon a stage in a gown of white satin.
Her eyes, they had shown, with a deep inner passion.

She was nervous of course, as a spotlight fell around her.
She turned and gently swayed as if she danced in the moonlight.

She created a vision that had slowly become part of her.
As if she knew it was in these moments ..

Her whole existence would ever matter.
With angelic poise, her natural charm and inner grace.

Each step as she executed, she flawlessly created.
In a torn up old tenement.

Where she stands before her own reflection.
On a stage she would appear to an audience upon her wall.
Within the frame of her mirror, in her essence she performs.

She dances her heart out to an audience of her dreams.

In the end, it's how we perceive ourselves. The only audience
that ever matters.

As she dances upon a stage in a gown of white satin.
