I like how it distorts perception.
Every drop melts away a second,
As I melt with you.

On a quiet night,
Rain has a monopoly on silence.
An endless rhythm
That masks our whispers.

You ask me what I dream of?
I dream of restless nights with you.
Where I'm alive, too tired to hide.
I dream of laying at your side
Content behind a sheet of rain.

And when I wake...
You're right there.
Your soft breaths in time
With the downpour outside.
