Children’s cheeks are like a joke,
so red, their noses cheerfully shout,
while I still clap my hands out loud.

We are laughing in choices,
reminding me of something dear.
Balloons dance, they swing and veer,
even his hair bursts into colors—
Paf!! pops beside my ear!

So “He laughed it away,”

for that’s what a clown is for,
they say.
