Petals will fall, and blooms once more,
Wave kisses the sandy shore.
A life born with love and betrayal,
Fades like notes of lyre.

The second falls like whisper rain,
Each drop of peace, a trace of pain.
The present becomes past,
Some ticking breaks the heart.

We whisper into the dust, we seek the flame,
But time's fierce fire leaves none the same.
Yet in your hands, we come leal,
For fleeting thing, too, much thrive.
