Question your idols,

Their past and your future.

Don't be afraid of being wrong, rude

or

Even right.

That "pie in the face" taste

Can be humble,

in my opinion.

Face your mistakes and take stock.

Be like water,

not like rock.

Be like you and not like them,

When an identity can not bend

It will snap

Back to default defense.

"Agree to disagree."

"It's just how I feel."

Let down these shields to reveal

If the ideals you hold so dearly are real.

See, you ask but rarely listen.

Fingers in ears, lest the truth trickle in.

Signalling virtue by idicting false sin.

Clawing for the higher ground,

Hoping all those

around you

drown,

To mute the sound

Of opposition.

Yet still,

YOU cry victim.

It seems to me that

Confirmation of your own righteousness

Is all the evidence

You need.

Self-destruction is ****.

Bleeding hearts, bleed to death.

And even with your last breath

You refuse to confess

your hypocrisy.
