I have a
confession
that’s been
yellin’ inside
my chest,
stress breathin’
down my neck...

“I like you”

The one
sentence
that’s been
screamin’.
I was scared
to say it
when we were
in the library—
I didn’t know
how to
express it
in poetry

I’m sorry
If I made
you uncomfortable

I know
you’re not
the same way
but I hope
you stay
and don’t walk
away like
how I did
today…

Like how
I’ve been
everyday
