As the sun fades, and the moon shines The snow glimmers before my eyes Enamored by the beauty of the snow I forget why I left my cabins warm glow I turn to walk back to my cozy home When I hear a voice call out of the pines It asks why I leave; I say I donβt know Then why donβt you stay and enjoy the snow I thought for only a minute or two I sat on my knees and then I knew The winter of 1905 was calling adieu I came to enjoy what was waving goodbye Then stood myself up and left with a tear in my eye Sitting down at the table with stew in my sight I looked out the window at the beautiful sight I slept that night like a little boy Content I sat and stayed with what I so enjoy Until next winter when we meet once more I dream to meet the snow evermore
