You told me so long ago
to learn to go with the flow.
That’s always been difficult for me.
I can’t relax and let things be.
I’ve tried to change my ways,
and I know I’m a lot better today.
I also know that I won’t feel right,
as long as the Iraqis’ have you in their sight.
I try to keep on top of cooking and things,
but without you nothing comes out the same.
I can’t sleep in the evening.
Sometimes I pray to just be dreaming.
I’ve not done so well without you.
The president should have told us the truth.
All I want is to be in your arms,
and have you free from harm.
