Devastation and Love
The moon pulls on the earth
And the earth pulls back
Yet, for now
They are so far away
The beautiful thing
however,
Is that the moon is the remnant
Of a devastating impact
Wrought from the earth
Let that be a lesson for you
My love
That as the earth suffers in orbit
The moon silently whispers back
"I carry you with me."
