Sunflowers
The faces of sunflowers
bask in the warmth of the sun.
Yet, by their beauty, I am not touched.
Whilst my eyes,
sore with weeping,
can find no more tears to shed.
The tears of my heart
bleed red through my body,
since your love was taken from me.
Stem the flow of ****** tears
Return me to the warmth
of your love wrapped
around and within me.
Let me hear again
the softness of your voice.
Let me feel the sweetness
of your breath upon my cheek.
Let me glory in the beauty of you
and all that you are to me.
