Once upon a time, there was a little Alien. He lived on the planet Mars, but Mars was a dangerous and lonely planet. So one day, the alien decided to find a better life and travel to Earth.
The alien got on its spaceship and flew to the foreign planet. He didn’t know much about Earth, but since Mars was a neighboring planet, surely it could not be so different. Surely the alien wouldn’t be so different.
The alien landed its spaceship on Earth in a green field. Next to the field was a small village. The alien carefully approached the village not wishing to scare whatever lived there.
The Alien saw creatures that were not green and that spoke in a different language. Yet, the Alien was hopeful that even though he was different from the creatures they could live together in peace.
The Alien approached the creatures. But, when they finally caught a glimpse of the Alien they shrieked in terror. The alien tried to speak but the creatures did not understand his language. Being afraid, the creatures grabbed their weapons.
The Alien was surrounded by the creatures as they approached with pitchforks and torches. He was about to learn the price of being foreign and unknown.
The Alien was poked and burned by the creatures. His cries were ignored as its skin bubbled and boiled. He was surrounded by hatred and anger, by ignorance and violence.
The Alien lay bleeding out in the middle of the village. His death was undeserved, for he only wanted to co-exist.
