That gorgeous lass, she looks at me
Her eyes twinkling like stars above
Like diamonds with fine clarity
Fallen I by clutches of love
Although lurk I in sorrow still
Knowing be mine never she will

My heart is dark with my strong woe
My soul is crippled down to none
Knowing she’s ne’er mine leaves me so
In a piece, no longer a one
For though she seems like a seraph
At me Cupid can only laugh

As he says, “the best joke I’ve seen
She can ne’er be yours so leave off
Quit from continuing to glean
Your ‘precious gems’ of petty love.”
And though those words were most severe
I’ll still chase love now that it’s here

For a joke, true love never is
And tis the wave and tis my call
For she fills my heart’s gap with bliss
The deep gap that once scarred my soul
I’ll love the one I always loved
No matter what, ‘gainst grim I’ll go
And hope against all hope I got
She, that girl will just love me so

And love me till the end of light…
