My legs feel numb,
And I feel dumb,
Standing here in this field,
Having to deal
With all these feels.

With their swift feet
And agile feats,
Who couldn’t possibly smell defeat?

I try and try,
But wonder why.
Am I not good enough?
Am I not as tough?

In defeat,
I watch their incredible deeds,
Like their beautiful leaps
And graceful twists.

I watched them for a while;
Oh, what style!
The way they caught it—
A perfect fit!

Then one of them noticed me.
It was a boy, you see.
He smiled at me—
Oh, what a sight to see!

He invited me along,
And before I thought for too long,
He tossed me the disk,
And I caught it between my fists—
Oh wow, it fits!

I tossed the disk into the air
To God knows where,
But he caught it in midair,
And now my mind sounds like a fair.

I did it!
I did it!
I did it!
I actually did it!

I pumped a fist into the air,
And of course, I added a little bit of flair.
I prepared my stance,
Ready to dance this metaphorical dance
And do my very best
With a little bit more zest.

I guess I learned a thing or two—
I should never, ever put people on a stool
And think I'm so bad
That everyone who walks by would gag.

Instead, I should have fun,
Under this warm sun,
With the breeze blowing by,
And my team by my side,
Who make me feel good inside.
