Poem 1 A path laid out in winding curves, Lures hearts astray with whispered swerves. Truth, cloaked in fog, a fractured view, What seems so close slips out of view. We chase the gleam, we run, we roam, Yet farther still from finding home.
Poem 2 A compass spins, no north in sight, Steps fall astray in search of light. Promises glint like stars above, Yet fade to dust what we dream of. Misdirection’s gift: a longing chase, To reach what vanishes in place.
