They say I’ll find better, that someone’s out there,
but all I see is empty space, and I don’t care.
I’m numb, shattered, holding dust, and not dreams...
can’t keep hoping for love that’ll rip at the seams.

People tell me, “you’ll find the one,” or “someday, wait,”
As if that’ll fix the ache or rewrite my fate.
I don’t need the words... they fall hollow and light,
I just want to escape this long, endless night.

I want to be okay alone, to steady and stand,
but my heart still longs for that gentle hand,
for someone who calls just because they’re near,
Who stays, who’s real, who silences fear.

I’ve given my best to those who’d leave,
Watched them choose others and I'm left to grieve.
Fought so hard to only look like a fool,
And yet I stayed by breaking my own rule.

Now I’m here, with no faith left to lend,
Done with the wishing for some perfect end.
Maybe I’m not meant for anyone’s hold,
But the ache remains both hard and cold.

And it’s not hope I’m after, nor some grand plan,
Just a wish to be whole, just to stand as I am.
So let the world keep spinning, I won’t chase...
I’ll face the dark and I'll find my own quiet place.
