Oct 21
small trees
in a field of yellow grass
Nearby
bending and
the shadows of old trees
curved and dried up
covering the grass
Over it
Emptiness flies
with the arrow of Vulcan
gray winds colors the sky
And a labor-exhausted man
sits down
with his right elbow on his left knee
and watches the hours
of the deepening nightmare
with someone else
among the scattering snowflakes.
