I saw a night in the broad daylight
Breathtakingly amazing
Speechless, as I stood there gazing
Indeed, a sight to the sore eyes
I didn’t even notice the time flying.
I wasn’t the only one, witnessing that beauty so immeasurable,
It was like a miracle,
But to others it was just dark
They called me a fool, said I am mad
To see something special in just pitch black
I paid no attention to the words
meant to make me feel bad
Instead, I felt happy and proud that,
My madness, made me one of a kind
Enabling me to see something beyond their limited minds.
The night seemed like my calling,
I gave up willingly, as it invited me in
It wasn’t evil or something possessed
It was peace, as my heart felt at rest
It was magical, form of pure bliss
But, like everything else, it was indeed short lived
My heart yearning for more but I set aside my greed,
I embraced every moment I spent in the darkness of The Night,
that I saw in the broad daylight.
