The air is cold and very pungent today
Concrete germinates from ****** clay
Cows are let loose where plastic lays
My eyes droop to the world's ways

We cut down trees to buy a *** of plant
We are intoxicated in our world of want
The last of the clouds are crying out acid
The connoisseur's palate is now rancid

The Sparrows do not come to my roof anymore
The Seagulls have long left the beautiful shore
The anguish of nature is heard in every squeak
The naked dog whimpers every day, every week

Nature lays dismembered in the mahogany embers
While we discuss civilization in concrete chambers.
An ecocritical poem on climate change
