I never looked at people's eyes,

Until the day I met yours.

And now I can’t stop watching—

Them shine like a cool jewelled moon.
I found an island in your eyes:

Whole continents, mountains, Eden.

I found comfort in your eyes—

They hold me like soft mothers' hands.
But I know they won’t hold me long.

Time will come; they’ll turn bored.
