What do the people see,
If it’s not me then who could it be,
Locked behind bars like a bird in a cage,
Or a lioness that cannot be tamed,
And yet y’all locked her away,
Not letting her glow when she walks through a crowd,
Of crowded people who looked at her strange,
Just cause she made a little mistake.

What do the people see,
If it’s not me then who could it be,
A wall that separates all,
From the truth than make up and let’s her fall,
Y’all bounded a queen who was ready to jump,
And yet she suffered all that alone,
Not telling a soul who was willing to listen,
Instead you just told and told her to pay more attention.

What do the the people see,
That seems clearer to me,
A diamond stuck in a rough surrounded by rocks not yet turned into sand,
A figure that stepped in so many gold who refuses to bow down to demands,
And yet stands tall when pressured,
Not giving a **** who you guys make her to be,
I will not bow down to your command.
