Sometimes I cry

by @Moemo

In the heart of the hustle, where hope runs thin, Where the streets be the teacher, and we learn to win, Sometimes the weight gets heavy, no lie, In the silence of the night, man, sometimes I cry. Got dreams bigger than the sky, reaching for the stars, But reality hits hard, leaving battle scars, In the shadows where the pain don’t fly, I let it out, real talk, and sometimes I cry. Seen friends turn to foes, trust get broken, Words left unspoken, hearts out in the open, Trying to keep it strong, but damn, do I try, Behind closed doors, you know, sometimes I cry. It ain’t weak, it’s real, this life we live, Gotta find a way to cope, gotta learn to forgive, In the struggle, in the grind, as we push and we strive, Feel the tears fall down, and sometimes I cry. But from the tears, I rise, stronger with each drop, Never let the pain make this journey stop, Wipe them eyes, stand tall, reach for the sky, A new day’s coming, till then, sometimes I cry.
