A guy can keep her around
Like an afterthought
Not an annoyance or a prize
But someone to throw a peripheral glance at
When the center of his vision isn’t there
He will laugh and smile with her
But his heart won’t flutter and his eyes wont linger
She is just there
But he doesn’t need her to be
