Say their names
Someone we loved and cared about has gone away
Show the world who they were
their memories live on
Don't be afraid to tell their stories
Say their names
Say it loud and be proud of it
They lived and their lives  mattered
Make the world remember their faces
Say their names
They made a difference in the world
Their smiles were contagious
They were important to friends and family
They loved like no other, and cared with their whole hearts
So say their names
They have  gotten  through hard times like a soldier
They learned and developed along the way
No matter what was thrown at them, they never gave  up
They were warriors and worked through whatever life threw at them
So Say their names say it  loud
Let their spirits live through you
their laughter was like music in the air
They were survivors who clawed their way back from hell
They had futures that were taken from them
There are  children who are missing  their mothers and  fathers, their aunts  and  uncles
Say their names say it
Weddings got canceled with  a gunshot
Children  missed their  graduations
Lives were taken simply  for the color of their skin
They called out for help, but were thrown to the ground
Their voices got taken away in the eyes of the law
Proved that they were more than eyes can see
So say their name

What ever you do in a day
Say their names
And say it proud
