A Road I've Traveled

I’ve been down the road you’re going. You should know there’s only one way home. It’s a cold, shameful walk, my dear. Each step made me feel more alone. You’re searching for a face of understanding. Well, look around. There’s more than you think. A new victim; forgotten by the system. A new victim each time you blink. I know you’re terrified to let anyone in. You want to bathe in your own filthy skin. It’s the least you can do, After he took away all of you. But you don’t have to suffer in that skin. We can get you back from him. Get back all the things he selfishly stole, But it starts with you; do you want to feel whole? Right now there’s monsters tearing you apart. There’s demons sleeping with you in your bed. Don’t let those bastards get to your heart. Let ‘em know, you’ve always been stronger than them.
