What is left of us when the light goes out?
I strive to capture my memories
that feel like Polaroid snapshots of what it was, what we had that’s now lost

As I look  at a photo of me and you that’s  aged in time,
that bitter  sweet feeling is  flooding me as I attempt to relive our past.

What is left of you now that the light is out?
Are you travelling, are you calm
is your heart crying or floating in a non existence state?

Promise me there is more than this aged Polaroids of you. That you are warm and protected somewhere in this vast universe. That you know that you were loved as you walked this earth.

What is left of us when the light goes out? Don’t ever feel lonely,I will carry you always in my heart, promise me ,there is more left that that Polaroids of you
That I hold so dear in my hands.

What is left when the light in our eyes goes out?
Promise me not everything we lived was in vain. That there is a bridge where we revisit everything that was.
