Fallen
Smeared blood into arrows
On the cheeks; white as diamond
Starched as hospital linen
Ladders up the spine
Where the ghosts of Raven's wings
Drift in mindless memory
As cast thee from a heavenly throne
To replace gold
With stone
And the heart-
With bone.
