Maybe she stained your mind
But her beauty has nothing to do with your eyes

That face was formed
Through trust and love
Through sharing food
And songs
And belly rubs

The first time she fell in
Heart and soul
Under the stars she drew a sun
On the warm concrete floor

Just like you
She is constantly fighting with fear
But she turns it to caring
For those she holds dear

Her spirit is kind
And her mind is sharp

But when it comes to true beauty
This her world
Chooses
To live in the dark
