Oct 2013
salt on my lips
I catch sunlight on my fingertips
pain is a spark
a shark, living on flesh and bone
heartbeat of the waves washes me away
don't want to stay
a roar of sensation
and then a silence
beautiful and terrible as the starry night sky in the bitter cold
I'll find shelter down below
