My brain not switching off at night,
It isn't my decision anymore.
It feels like it has a life of its own,
It makes me wonder how powerful
The human mind actually can be.
If only they had a pill
I could take
To fall back
Into the deep sleep
And just stay there for a moment
Or even a night
Just so I can feel alive again.
