Laugh While You Can

Laugh while you can boys

So proud in your crisp new uniforms

The flush of youth

Fresh in your cheeks

Laugh while you can

For it won't be long

Before your uniforms will be dirtied

From the grime of war

And your youth will have vanished

Fallen from your cheeks

To be replaced by the ashen mark of death

Laugh now boys

While there's laughter left to share
