Come hear me tell my story,
I promise that I won’t detain you long.
The next to last of labors
On my list was stitch them into song.

All that’s left to do
Is a job for two.
One won’t do,
You come too.

Great lengths I’ve gone to get here,
The distance closed between beyond belief.
With equal joy and sorrow, the tears I’ve cried
Have filled the depths of grief.

All that’s left to do
Is a job for two.
One won’t do,
You come too.

I’ve climbed to the top of the mountain
From the depths of the valley below,
Walked from the river’s fountain
To the ocean’s flow.
And further down in dark descent
I searched until my light was spent,
In search of what, I never knew
Till it led me to you.

All that’s left to do
Is a job for two.
One won’t do,
You come too.
