Rachel
1.
Cicadas herald
the blur of a bicyclist.
Could it be–Rachel?!
2.
Tango of two tongues
slow dancing to summer’s song,
living life's meaning.
3.
Affectionately,
I massage her scars but feel
someone else’s wounds.
4.
Bodies intertwined,
Yin and Yang convince themselves
they are symmetric.
5.
I hardly messaged
without good reason, and yet
for her ‘twas too much.
6.
Cicadas trilling,
Rachel says to me “goodbye”--
followed by the bugs.
