Jun 2023
It must have been shorty after midnight,
I woke up with a shiver,
Quiver for a moment
As visions of my just ended dream gathered...
It couldn't have been real,
as my call for an equal had been heeded.
Previously I had been haunted by loneliness..
Loneliness arrived
Like an icy wintry wind
howling through my insides
chilling me to the bone.
Creeped up cunningly,
Teased me like one who truly understood,
The infinite pleasures that my heart sought.
As I awoke, time stood still
For the briefest of moments...
"Are you ok?" she whispered,
with her gaze fixed on me with deep interest.
There she was, right next to me,
My equal, my endless fountain of Love..
At that moment loneliness waved a faint goodbye
Leaving us deep in lovers chatter
throughout the night's amber light..
