Here I lay, arms crossed over chest
Slumber sustains, but I get no rest
Wicked, vile deeds give birth to new pain
Reliving my nightmares, I’m going insane
Feelings stir; I’ve forgotten I’ve had before
All too wrong for me to longer ignore
They linger here, in dark spaces of my mind
Pulling me closer, leaving the light behind
Causing darkness to be my home.
